Khoo Sui Hoe (丘瑞河), or Ray Khoo, born 1939 in Malaysia, is a 1961 graduate of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore. In 1974, he was awarded a scholarship grant from the John D. Rockefeller 3rd Fund to study the development of contemporary art in the United States, during which time he subsequently delved into printmaking in New York.
From the 1960s to present, Khoo has held over 48 solo exhibitions in Asia, Australia, and the United States, in addition to group exhibitions in India, Japan, Brazil, China, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

"Like in the surrealistic paintings, Khoo's episodic pictures also have the believable and incontrovertible qualities of dream situations and characters in legends or mythology.  His figures express moods and temperament which communicate directly to the viewer. We can read in them circumstances of pathos, anticipation, menace, reticence or wonder."
